We had ourselves a merry little Christmas - Part I

I am sorry for my long blogging pause... we had a busy week of Christmas this past week, and a super busy time leading up to Christmas! I thought I would stop in and say hello and catch ya'll up on what the Brewster bunch has been up to lately...
We arrived at my parents house on monday morning, Dec. 22nd. I think the kids thought we were at some sort of light show or something, they ran around the house looking at all the decorations and pointing out different things to each other. "Look, Bekah! I haven't seen this before!", "Look, Philip! Look at the baby Jesus!". It was fun to watch them... they were disappointed that I hadn't put any Christmas decorations up besides the tree (because we weren't going to be home for Christmas), so they enjoyed all of Grandma's decorations.

Everyone was gone when we got there, so we just "hung out". Here's Luke, chillin' out and smiling a silly little smile...

The next day, Tuesday, was a busy day of getting ready for my sis-in-laws (Andrea) baby shower. After we arrived in Michigan it started snowing like crazy... me, being the wimp that I am, enlisted my hubby to drive me over to my mother-in-laws to get ready for the shower. In the meantime, he went to see our friend Don. He and his wife have lots of bird feeders, and Andrew got some neat pictures of the birds outside their window.
That evening was the baby shower... Rebekah insisted that she wanted to go, she said, "I've never been to a baby shower before, and I want to see what happens". Here's what happened...

Bekah talked (and talked, and talked) to the ladies that came to the shower.
The diaper cake I made for Andrea and baby Gabriel...

I thought a cowboy theme would be cute, since Andrea is having a boy and they live in Texas...
The napkins and plastic ware...

The food... we had chili, cornbread, veggies, fruit salad, punch, and this cute cake...
Complements of my other sis-in-law, Robin.
She did a good job on it!
Below is the cute pregnant mommy with the cake...
Andrea opens her gifts with her "helper" by her side...

My mother-in-law... she is going to be a grandma
two more times next year, and neither one is from us! :)

It was a nice shower, although many couldn't come because of the weather! Michigan is having quite a winter this year! It was nice to have a white Christmas, but I am glad we don't have all that snow going on here in PA!

Stay tuned for more pics and... the rest of the story!
Have a great night!
