The park and art...

Yesterday we:
1. Went on a field trip and learned about "community helpers"... the helpers that we learned about were nurses. I cheated a bit and took Bekah to the nursing home where I work. I hadn't told them where we were going and when we pulled in, Bekah said, "Mom, isn't this where you work?" When I told her yes she said, "Um, I think they're going to recognize you." As if that was a problem or something. Evidently she thought it was going to be. :)
2. Met Lucinda and her kiddos at the park. I don't have many pictures because Abby thought the swings were the only things there and Bekah and Philip didn't act real excited to be there... Philip kept asking if we were going to McDonald's soon.

3. Took lunch to Daddy and saw where he was working...

4. Went to Walmart... at this point (about 4:00 pm) the kids were showing signs of missing their naps. :0) But, they still had enough energy when they got home to...

5. Draw pictures on BIG paper while mommy got ready to can tomato juice!
This is Philip's drawing, he wasn't sure what it was except that something is on fire.

Bekah's drawing... the big one is of our family in bunk beds. :) On the left of the picture is a bunk bed with Philip on top and mommy and daddy on the bottom. On the left of the picture is a bunk bed with Bekah on top and Abby on the bottom.

This is a picture of our old house in Penns Creek... Bekah still misses that house, and it's been over a year since we moved! If you look close at the picture, you'll see our dog Duke on the right. :)

She loves to draw! It reminds me of what mom always used to say...
just give us girls some crayons and paper, and we'd be happy!

Have a happy, colorful day! :)

I just keep thinking about this day you had! I am just convinced you are a brave woman!! Taking 4 kids to Wal-Mart! I think taking one is exausting!!!

I've decided it's kind of like grace - God doesn't give you what you need until you need it. Four years ago, if someone would have handed me 3 more kids and told me to go to Walmart I would have freaked out. Now, I can handle it. :)

Let me amend that... God and I can handle it. He's been teaching me that it is only through His strength that I stand!
