The celebration continues...

I saw the idea for these cupcakes earlier this year on Charity Brown's blog, and just had to do them for Philip. I thought they were so cute! Of course, mine didn't turn out as cute as the recipe pic, but Philip liked them... that makes mommy happy! :)

Philip is wearing a hat Bekah made for him... if you were wondering what was going on with that. :) Today Philip got to open the package from Grandma Dee. He got an outfit, tie, coloring/activity books, and a puzzle. He said, "I like all my stuff." :)

Bekah and Philip got to work right away and started busily coloring...

I'm not sure what Abby was doing here... she looks kind of tired. Andrew took these pics, so you never know! :)

Enjoying the cupcakes after our lasagna...

This one is intended to make my mother cringe. :) Not only is her hair hanging down in her face, but her face is dirty! (She enjoyed the cupcake! :))

The birthday boy, complete with silly hat, licks the birthday candle...

Luke eats his "cake"...

Relaxing in his swing while everyone else runs around like crazy people :)

It's funny... with my other three, when I think about them being born I think about myself... and how much pain I was in, how the labor went, etc. Because Philip was a c-section, when I think about him being born I think about the doctors who delivered him... they were a great group of people, albeit a little zany. :) I remember what they were talking about when they were sewing me back up... duck hunting, a Frankenstein movie, all sorts of weird things. :) I remember laying there while they were making the incision, and someone was driving me crazy by rubbing my head... I was like, "WHO is rubbing my head?" and Andrew said in a little voice, "Uh, me"... which caused all the staff to crack up laughing at us, and tell me funny stories about other surgeries they had done with similar funny things that happened. After the surgery was all done, I was like, "Whoa... that was like cheating to have a baby... that was SO easy!" That was before the recovery. That wasn't fun... I'd much rather do it the old fashioned way! :) Of course, when babies decide they want to come out bottom first you have to do something... and Philip was the one to try that, which prompted my sister to nickname him "Flip". Anyways, I said all that to say this: I cannot believe it's been four years already!!! Philip has turned into a happy, fun loving boy who enjoys coloring, tractors, cars, pretending, playing with his brother and sisters, and working with dad.
He is a blessing that we thank God for!

Happy birthday, little man!

Happy Birthday, Philip! Hmm, I am thinking about picking on your grammar and spelling since you like to do that to others! Should I? Or should I yield not to temptation?

Please correct me... I don't like having mistakes in my writing. :)

Those cupcakes are adorable. I'll have to remember them for some girls school treats that will be coming up this winter. Probably have to go with the 11 yr old b/c it looks like peanut butter cookies on there and someone in the lower learning center is allergic. Anyway, I had surgery DURING my pregnancy with Janae but instead of putting me totally out, they gave me an epidural. So I heard a lot of wacky conversation too. AND I heard kachunk, kachunk when they stapled me up! Ewwww!
